ABOUT LILY
Lily Redwood was born on the 13th floor of Guy's Hospital and grew up in Brockley, South East London, and started writing poetry when she was knee-high to a grass hopper.

Since directing and producing the UK’s first Community production of The Vagina Monologues in 2001, Lily has been committed to creating spaces for women's voices to be heard - through grassroots movements, birthwork and the arts.
In 2016 Lily co-wrote, produced and directed award-winning ecological documentary wetheuncivilised, A Life Story with her husband, Pete. They live together with their 2 children on the edge of the Black Mountains, South Wales, where they are establishing a regenerative land-based project which is focused on building community resilience at a time of converging crises.

She continues to write poetry as a way of making sense of the madness. Sometimes it helps.
